The Story Behind the Design

Walk For Peace (Piece 1) is a visual blend of two real moments, captured through my lens during the Walk For Peace journey.

The artwork is inspired by:

• A photograph taken of the Walk For Peace Monks walking along Highway 138 and Old National Highway

• A second photograph capturing their arrival at Southlake Mall in Morrow, Georgia

These moments represent both the journey and the destination—the miles walked in silence and intention, and the moment of arrival where community, awareness, and reflection came together.

The figures, the dog walking calmly at the front, the doves in motion, and the symbols of peace were composed to honor that real-life walk—transforming documentary photography into wearable art.

This design stands as a reminder that peace is not passive.
